Firework Safety

We want you to have a blast with our fireworks, but we also want you to be safe. Here are some fireworks safety tips from the National Council on Fireworks Safety.

  • Obey local laws regarding the use of fireworks.

  • Know your fireworks. Read the labels and performance descriptions before igniting.

  • Be sure a responsible adult is supervising all fireworks activities and never give fireworks to children.

  • Save alcohol consumption for after the show.

  • Wear safety glasses when shooting fireworks.

  • Light one firework at a time and quickly move away.

  • Use fireworks outdoors in a clear area, away from buildings and vehicles.

  • Never relight a “dud” firework. If you have a dud, wait 20 minutes and soak it in a bucket of water.

  • Have a bucket of water and working water hose nearby.

  • Don’t carry fireworks in your pocket or shoot them into metal or glass containers.

  • Dispose of spent fireworks by wetting them down and putting them in a metal trash can away from any building or combustible materials until the next day.

  • Report illegal explosives like M-80s and quarter sticks to your local fire or police department.

Remember: Don’t experiment with homemade fireworks. Get high-quality products from a reputable fireworks store like King Kong Fireworks!
